Our story at The Dugout Sports
Discover how The Dugout Sports came to be, our passion for the game, and our commitment to the Smyrna sports community. We're more than just a facility; we're a home base for athletes and families.
The passion that started it all
The Dugout Sports Complex was born out of a shared passion for the game and a common frustration felt by three dads. As parents navigating youth baseball and softball seasons, we spent years traveling to distant facilities just to get quality cage time, practice space, and coaching for our kids. We realized our local sports community in Wattsburg, PA deserved a modern, high-quality venue right in its own backyard.
Building a community hub
We built The Dugout to fill that gap. We transformed this space into a state-of-the-art facility complete with top-tier batting cages, full turf, fielding areas and more to come. It is more than just a place to practice—it is a home base where young athletes can build confidence, teams can bond, and families can gather. Our founders are three local dads raised on baseball and softball, united by a simple goal: giving our kids and our community a sports facility to call their own.
For every athlete and every family
The Dugout Sports is for everyone! Whether you are a serious athlete honing your skills, a family looking for a fun and active outing, or simply someone who enjoys the game, our facility is designed for you. We are driven by community and understand what local coaches, parents, and players need from a premier sports complex.
